Hosting FAQ
I try to install a C1 website using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as a data store. However, the installation program requires some SQL Server 2008 components? Can I still install a website on Microsoft SQL Server 2005?
Answer:
You can install a website using a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database as a data store. However, if Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is not installed on the target machine, you first need to install the required SQL Server 2008 components and then retry your website installation.
To install the required components:
- Visit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=116207.
- Locate on the page and download the following components:
- Microsoft SQL Server System CLR Types
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Objects
- Install the components: first, System CLR Types, then, Server Management Objects.
- Run the C1 website installation program again.
