Split layout and content into a few manageable parts with Page Template Features

In C1 CMS v.4.0 or later, you can add content to multiple Page Template Features in the Layout perspective and then include those features in page templates.

Template features allows you to break up a page template's content into manageable logical parts, centrally store the repeated content or functionality in them and reuse it across multiple templates.

You can normally create and edit template features in the CMS Console. But since each page template feature is essentially an XHTML file (with the .html or .xml extension), you can also create and edit it in your favorite external markup editor even without logging in to the CMS Console.
