Overview

Deploy one or more C1 CMS Websites on Microsoft Azure/Windows Servers and scale out if necessary

The C1 CMS Azure packages allow you to host one or more C1 CMS-based websites on Microsoft Azure or a Windows Server. If necessary, you can scale out your website(s) across multiple data centers on Microsoft Azure or across Windows Servers for load balancing and/or geo-targeting.

Simple site

To run a single host with a single IIS site on Microsoft Azure/Windows Server much like standard web hosting, upload your website to a dedicated Azure blob storage and publish it with either the pre-built CMS Azure service package to a single web role on Microsoft Azure or the C1AzureBlobSync tool - to a Windows Server.

Scale out

To have a local staging site and push changes on it to multiple instances of your website on Microsoft Azure/Windows Servers, upload your website to a dedicated Azure blob storage and publish it with the pre-built CMS Azure service package to multiple Web roles on Microsoft Azure or use the C1AzureBlobSync tool on multiple Windows Servers. Please note that scaling out also require that you install and use the Azure Publisher add-on to publish your changes from a staging site to the website instances on Microsoft Azure/Windows Servers.

Azure Publisher is a commercial add-on. Please see the corresponding edition about the required subscription.

Multiple websites on one web role

Once you have published your simple or scaled-out website, you can add more websites to your Microsoft Azure/Windows Server deployment, uploading more websites to your blob storage and configuring your deployment to publish them to one ore more Azure web roles/Windows Servers.
